Getting Started
What is Pitchside Fives?
Pitchside Fives is a platform for organising recreational 5-a-side, 6-a-side, and 7-a-side football sessions. You create a squad, ping availability, pick teams, and pay – all in one app, instead of chasing people across WhatsApp.
How does it work?
In four steps: create your squad and invite players, send a weekly availability ping so people confirm who's in, pick teams once enough players have confirmed, and play – with cost splitting and payment handled in the app.
Is there a minimum age to use the app?
Yes. You must be 18 years or older to create an Account and make payments through the app, per our Terms of Service.
Is Pitchside Fives available where I live?
Pitchside Fives is live on the App Store for players in Johannesburg.
Payments & Refunds
How do payments work?
Payments are processed securely through PayFast. Pitchside Fives does not store your card details – PayFast handles the transaction directly.
What if I need to cancel my spot?
Cancel more than 24 hours before kick-off and you're eligible for a refund (minus the PayFast processing fee). Cancel within 24 hours of kick-off, or don't show up, and the booking isn't refundable. See the full Refund & Cancellation Policy for all scenarios, including organiser and venue cancellations, which are refunded in full.
What if a game doesn't have enough players?
Each game has a minimum player count. If it isn't reached by kick-off, the game is automatically cancelled and everyone who confirmed is refunded in full, no action needed.
Account & Privacy
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account and data directly in the app, or by emailing support. Full instructions are on our Account Deletion page.
What data does Pitchside Fives collect?
Just what's needed to run games: your name, contact details, location (to show nearby venues), and booking/payment history. We don't sell your data. See the full Privacy Policy for details.
What are the community rules?
Play fair, communicate honestly about your availability, and keep in-app chat respectful. Full details are in our Community Guidelines.
